Equally vital is our ongoing research and development in advanced organ transplantation. Bridge to Life has licensed technology that uses liposomes to deliver bio-active adenosine triphosphate (ATP) directly into the cells. Early animal studies have shown that this technology may be able improve the viability of organs to be transplanted.

Virtually all of the profits that Bridge to Life generated from sales of the Belzer UW® preservation solutions (and most of the other funds "raised" by Bridge to Life) are being used to fund the research on new organ transplantation technology.
